Baseball Recap: Bluffton Find Success

While Bluffton's victory against Bellmont wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers skirted past the Braves 13-11. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Braves recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Axton Beste made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

Beste wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Easton Blair, who went 4-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave Blair a new career-high. Grayson Crowder was another, going 1-for-4 with three RBI.

Bluffton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive matches.

Bluffton's record is now 8-4. As for Bellmont, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bluffton will challenge Fort Wayne Canterbury at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bellmont, they will take on Whitko at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
