Volleyball Recap: USC Hybrid Trojans vs. New Designs University Park Cardinals
If USC Hybrid was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Brio College Prep on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trojans fell 3-1 to the New Designs University Park Cardinals on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in March.
While USC Hybrid ultimately came up short, they really made New Designs University Park work, particularly in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 20-25, 25-23, 26-24.
Despite the loss, USC Hybrid still got an impressive performance from Francisco Sandoval, who had 62 digs. Sandoval is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 12 or more in each of the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Anthony Ramirez, who had 17 blocks and six digs.
