Football Recap: Latrell Allen's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Westover over Gray's Creek + How To Watch

Westover lost against Gray's Creek back in November of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wolverines fell 37-33 to the Bears.

Several Wolverines players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Latrell Allen, who rushed for 151 yards and two scores on only 15 carries, and also picked up 36 receiving yards and one touchdown. Another passer making a difference was Eric Kline, who threw for 196 yards and three TDs.

Gray's Creek's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ezekiel Reed, who rushed for 144 yards and one touchdown on only 12 carries. David Bostic was another key player, gaining 113 total yards and two touchdowns.

Westover's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Gray's Creek, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westover is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Lumberton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Gray's Creek, they will take on South View at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
