Baseball Recap: Oak Park Comes Up Short

Oak Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Park Hill South Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Northmen have suffered since April 1st.

Oak Park's loss dropped their record down to 11-16. As for Park Hill South, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6-1 record this season.

Oak Park will venture away from home to take on Central at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Northmen's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Park Hill South, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-2 victory against Park Hill on the 6th.
