Baseball Game Preview: Crawford County Wolfpack vs. Paoli Rams

The Crawford County Wolfpack will head out on the road to challenge the Paoli Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Crawford County has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since the 8th.

Things were looking good for Crawford County after they put the first run on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell 6-2 to South Central.

Meanwhile, Paoli made easy work of Eastern Greene on Monday and carried off a 9-2 win.

Cooper Spires was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Kirkland Hughes was incredible, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Raleigh Klunk, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.

Paoli's record is now 3-4. As for Crawford County, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Crawford County couldn't quite get it done against Paoli in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 as they fell 8-4. Can the Wolfpack avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
