Avery Kelley leads a balanced attack to beat North Harrison

Recap: Evansville Memorial Tigers vs. North Harrison Cougars

The Evansville Memorial Tigers entered their tilt with the North Harrison Cougars with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Evansville Memorial walked away with a 53-42 victory over North Harrison on Saturday. Given Evansville Memorial's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 22nd, while North Harrison is ranked 217th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Evansville Memorial's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Avery Kelley, who scored 19 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Kelley hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Myla Browning, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.

Evansville Memorial is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season. As for North Harrison, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Evansville Memorial will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Evansville Reitz at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th. As for North Harrison, they will face off against Madison at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
