Basketball Recap: Logan Takes a Loss

Logan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Newark Wildcats and fell 69-27. The Chieftains lost against the Wildcats in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 64-52 score last time.

Logan's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Newark, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Logan won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Athens at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Chieftains will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 58.25 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Newark, they will be home for the holidays to greet Canal Winchester at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
