Volleyball Recap: Dublin Comes Up Short

The Dublin Gaels didn't have quite enough to beat the Castro Valley Trojans on Friday and fell 3-2. The Gaels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dublin started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 19-25, 25-21, 25-23, 15-11.

Dublin's loss dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Castro Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won 15 of their last 19 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dublin will host Granada at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Castro Valley, they will challenge Alameda at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans are facing the Hornets at the right time seeing as the Hornets are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
