Softball Recap: Crivitz Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Crivitz dropped their record down to 4-6 on Friday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They fell 10-6 to the Coleman Cougars. The loss was just more heartbreak for the Wolverines, who fell 3-1 when the teams last met back in April of 2024.

Hattie Frievalt made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Izzy Wesolowski, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

As for Coleman, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games.

On Coleman's side, Makenzie Nowak made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off 11 hits (and only one walk). Nowak has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

In other batting news, Maddy Seefeldt was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Hope Forner was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crivitz will venture away from home to square off against Wausaukee at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Coleman, they will head out to face off against Green Bay Southwest at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
