Everything went Gulf Pointe Latin's way against Varsity Opponent as Gulf Pointe Latin made off with a 57-31 win. The Gladiators have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 26 points or more this season.

Covenant Christian better keep an eye on Dean Fillmore. He was instrumental in Gulf Pointe Latin's win, going 6 of 13 en route to 13 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Chace Porten, who went 6 for 13 on his way to 13 points.

Gulf Pointe Latin was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Gulf Pointe Latin's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-6. As for Covenant Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.
