Recap: Broken Arrow Tigers vs. Stillwater Pioneers

The Broken Arrow Tigers can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They blew past Stillwater 62-34 on the road. Given Broken Arrow's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while Stillwater is ranked 250th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Broken Arrow to victory, but perhaps none more so than Macy Marraccini, who almost dropped a triple-double on ten points, ten rebounds, and nine assists. Marraccini has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played. Rekiah Bowen was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Broken Arrow's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points per game. As for Stillwater, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Broken Arrow will take on Muskogee at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Malaysia Burton and McKenzie Mathurin. As for Stillwater, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Choctaw at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Choctaw will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
