Baseball Recap: Greenon Takes a Loss

Greenon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Franklin Monroe Jets.

Carson Fields made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Maddox Vawter, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Greenon's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Franklin Monroe, the win got them back to even at 11-11.

Coming up, Greenon will head out to square off against Cedarville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Franklin Monroe, they will challenge Versailles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
