Basketball Game Preview: Lead Hill Tigers vs. Omaha Eagles

The Lead Hill Tigers will face off against the Omaha Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lead Hill has five straight victories, Omaha has eight straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Lead Hill is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Founders Classical Academy to the tune of 93-48 on Friday. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 21 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Noah Royce, who went 9 of 15 from beyond the arc on his way to 41 points along with six steals and five assists. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Baker, who went 8 for 10 en route to 19 points and three blocks.

Royce wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Lead Hill was working as a unit and finished the game with 33 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Omaha lost 70-50 to Kingston on Friday.

Lead Hill's win bumped their record up to 21-12. As for Omaha, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13.

Everything came up roses for Lead Hill against Omaha in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured an 84-56 victory. Will Lead Hill repeat their success, or does Omaha have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
