Softball Recap: Bridgeton Comes Up Short

Bridgeton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Atlantic City Vikings, falling 19-2. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their loss to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Bridgeton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Atlantic City, their win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bridgeton will head out to take on LEAP Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Atlantic City, they will challenge Oakcrest at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
