Basketball Recap: White Oak Find Success

White Oak won the last time they faced Dixon, and Trevor Highsmith did his part to make sure it happened again. The White Oak Vikings ended the year with a bang, routing the Dixon Bulldogs 66-40 on Saturday thanks in part to Highsmith, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jacorian Taylor, who posted ten points. Elijah Pena was another key player, putting up ten points and six rebounds.

White Oak's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Dixon, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

White Oak wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 67-61 victory against Jacksonville on the 30th. As for Dixon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-42 defeat against Richlands on the 30th.
