Chippewa Falls proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by 15) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the New Richmond Tigers 3-2. This was payback for the Cardinals, who suffered a 1-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Chippewa Falls has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games.
