Baseball Recap: East Ridge Takes a Loss

Howard Tech hit East Ridge with a four-run second inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Pioneers fell 9-4 to the Hustlin' Tigers. Surprisingly, this marked the Pioneers' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

East Ridge's defeat was their 13th straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Howard Tech, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-18.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Ridge will face off against Red Bank at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Howard Tech, they will square off against Ooltewah at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
