Softball Recap: Abernathy Comes Up Short

Abernathy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Trinity Christian Lions, falling 10-4. On the bright side, the four- run performance marked the Antelopes' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Bryer Cook was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last 12 games she's played dating back to last season. Za'Kayla Smith was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Abernathy's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Trinity Christian, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 3-7.
