Innovation had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They came out on top against the Winter Park Wildcats by a score of 11-6.

Berit Acker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Guiliana Rodriguez Fernandez was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Izabel Solis, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Innovation was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Winter Park only posted a batting average of .286.

Innovation's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-6. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Winter Park, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-12.

Coming up, Innovation will square off against Freedom at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Winter Park, they will take on Boone at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
