Softball Recap: Lake Placid Takes a Loss

Lake Placid lost against Oxbridge Academy back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Dragons took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the ThunderWolves. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kaylee Grigsby was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Allie Oliveros, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

Lake Placid's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Oxbridge Academy, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Placid will square off against Jensen Beach at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oxbridge Academy, they will take on Clewiston at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The ThunderWolves are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
