Volleyball Game Preview: Vinton-Shellsburg Vikings vs. Benton Bobcats

Vinton-Shellsburg is 2-8 against Benton since August of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Vikings will welcome the Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Saturday, Vinton-Shellsburg came up short against Maquoketa Valley and fell 2-0.

Meanwhile, Benton also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Xavier by a score of 2-0. The Bobcats haven't had much luck with the Saints recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Vinton-Shellsburg's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Benton, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-12.

Vinton-Shellsburg couldn't quite get it done against Benton when the teams last played last Saturday as they fell 2-0. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
