Basketball Recap: Courtney Bray's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Warren County over Lake Oconee Academy

Warren County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Lake Oconee Academy Titans, falling 60-38. The Screaming Devils were not able to make up for their loss to the Titans from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Several Screaming Devils players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Courtney Bray, who posted 18 points and five boards. Bray's evening made it ten games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Ja'Keria Few was another key player, putting up eight points and seven rebounds.

Warren County's record now sits at 8-12. As for Lake Oconee Academy, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-6.

Warren County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 61-47 defeat against Greene County on the 4th. As for Lake Oconee Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 52-27 loss against Loganville Christian Academy on the 5th.
