Football Recap: Riverside Makes It Six in a Row at Home + How To Watch

Riverside proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by 32) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 26-23 victory over the Lawrence Cardinals. This was payback for the Rams, who suffered a 21-14 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Among those leading the charge was Dean Potts, who threw for 167 yards and two touchdowns while completing 92.9% of his passes, and also punched in one score on the ground. Those 167 passing yards gave him a new career-high.

Riverside's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.7 points over those games. As for Lawrence, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Looking ahead, Riverside will be playing in front of their home fans against Point Pleasant Beach at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lawrence does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
