Softball Recap: Paul VI Takes a Loss

Paul VI dropped their record down to 12-11 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They lost 10-1 to the Bishop O'Connell Knights. The contest marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

As for Bishop O'Connell, the win keeps they at an undefeated 12-0. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games.

For Bishop O'Connell's part, Abby Bond was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs Bond has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Ari Clark, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Paul VI will welcome Flint Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bishop O'Connell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bishop McNamara at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
