Basketball Game Preview: Central Valley Bears vs. Lakeside Lions

The Central Valley Bears and the Lakeside Lions will face off at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Central Valley comes in on 26 and Lakeside on three.

Central Valley is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 51-49 win over Garfield. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Bulldogs are ranked 27th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

North Thurston typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Lakeside proved too difficult a challenge. They skirted past the Rams 42-40.

Central Valley's victory bumped their record up to 26-0. As for Lakeside, their win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 25-5.
