Baseball Recap: Fresno Takes a Loss

Fresno has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.67 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Wednesday. They lost 10-3 to the Justin Garza Guardians. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Guardians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

This is the second loss in a row for Fresno and nudges their season record down to 7-5. Sadly, the team can't blame their woes on tough opposition, as that stretch included 1-8 Sanger West and 2-8 Justin Garza. As for Justin Garza, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-8.

Fresno and Justin Garza will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Warriors will square off against rival Madera at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Justin Garza is set to challenge their familiar foe Sanger West at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
