Baseball Game Preview: Dardanelle Sand Lizards vs. Nashville Scrappers

Dardanelle hasn't had much luck against Nashville recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Dardanelle Sand Lizards will challenge the Nashville Scrappers at 9:00 a.m. Dardanelle has given up an average of 8.3 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Dardanelle's last matchup with Huntsville could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Friday. Dardanelle lost 14-5 to Huntsville.

Dardanelle saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Hernandez, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. That run was Hernandez's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Nashville didn't have quite enough to beat Gravette on Friday and fell 4-3. The match marked the Scrappers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 3-3. As for Nashville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.

Dardanelle couldn't quite get it done against Nashville when the teams last played back in March of 2024 as they fell 8-3. Can Dardanelle avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
