League recap: Quintero races to league-leading run for Bernstein

Bernstein's Julio Quintero recorded the longest rushing play in Central this season in his game against Monroe last week. Quintero's team bested the Vikings as he sprinted for 80 yards on the play and finished with 168 in all.

Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Bernstein beat Monroe 52-25. The victory was the ninth in a row for Masaki Matsumoto's team.

The Dragons' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Abraham Alvarado threw for 167 and 5 touchdowns and John Ramirez had 64 yards receiving. On the ground Alvarado contributed 207 yards. Bairon Palma helped Bernstein's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 42 yards.

Bernstein's dynamic duo of Alvarado and Ramirez proved to be unstoppable against Don Senegal's team, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Palma helped Bernstein's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 42 yards.

5-foot-10 quarterback David Frontanez of Torres is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,307. He has also thrown 14 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Miguel Torres. The Roybal star has 28 catches for 556 yards.

The Dragons' Navin Khenkaew is a mere 24 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. In 122 carries Khenkaew has accumulated 976 yard this year.

The Toros took down Marquez 55-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Frontanez threw for 150 yards and ran for 81 yards in the win.
