Bishop Manogue is 2-8 against Reed since April of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Miners will challenge the Raiders at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Sammi Boggs spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Bishop Manogue let Averie Stephan and Kiki Harris run wild. Stephan went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double, while Harris went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Lo Faust, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Reed faced Carson in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Raiders put the hurt on the Senators with a sharp 12-1 victory. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Hayley Noble made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off nine hits (and only one walk). Those six strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Krystyn Noble, who fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-4. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in March. Kehaulani Tambaoan was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Reed was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in three consecutive matches.
Reed has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 20 of their last 22 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-5-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Bishop Manogue, their record now sits at 21-9-1.
Reed's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Wednesday. Bishop Manogue has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.9 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Reed, though, as they've been averaging only 2.9 strikeouts. Will Bishop Manogue keep running through batters, or will the Raiders buck the trend?
Everything went Bishop Manogue's way against Reed in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as Bishop Manogue made off with a 7-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Miners since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
