Football Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Jefferson had lost six straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 0-7 to make it seven. They were beaten by the Sultan Turks 48-7. The Raiders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-7.

As for Sultan, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-3. That looming 48-7 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

Sultan got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Hunter Ansell out in front who rushed for 139 yards and two TDs on only nine carries. That's the most rushing touchdowns Ansell has posted since back in October of 2024. Julio Vargas Jr was another key player, gaining 121 total yards and two touchdowns.

Jefferson didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 25-14 win against Beamer on the 23rd. As for Sultan, they have also already played their next game, a 35-0 victory against Bellevue Christian on the 25th.
