Basketball Recap: Walled Lake Western Comes Up Short

Walled Lake Western was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the South Lyon East Cougars and fell 61-27. The Warriors were probably out for revenge after losing 63-35 to them when the teams met back in January, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Walled Lake Western's record is now 0-5. As for South Lyon East, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-3.

Walled Lake Western and South Lyon East's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Walled Lake Western and Lakeland (who has only given up 24.75 points per game) will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, South Lyon East will take on Fordson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, a squad that's only allowed 27.25 points per game.
