Basketball Game Preview: Davenport Wolves vs. Fredericksburg Billies

Davenport is 0-6 against Fredericksburg since January of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. The Davenport Wolves will welcome the Fredericksburg Billies at 6:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Davenport sitting on eight straight wins and Fredericksburg on 11.

Davenport will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Navarro, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. Davenport strolled past Navarro with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 49-30. Given the Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while the Panthers are ranked 326th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Fredericksburg humbled Bandera with a 75-46 victory. The Billies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Fredericksburg's victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-6. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 36.8 points. As for Davenport, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.
