            Baseball Recap: Quartz Hill Royals vs. Sultana Sultans        
        
		
        
        
            Quartz Hill dropped their record down to 14-12 on Saturday, which also ended the team's ten-game streak of wins at home. They came up short against  the Sultana Sultans, falling  9-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  loss the Royals have suffered  since February 19th.
 Quartz Hill got a good showing from  Chris Quintero, who   tossed three innings while giving up just two earned runs off   four  hits. Quintero has been consistent: he hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in six consecutive appearances.
As for Sultana, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won 17 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3-1 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games.
On Sultana's side, they got a great performance from  Parker Nunes as he  tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off   six  hits. The dominant performance also gave  Nunes a new career-high in  strikeouts (four).
 On the hitting side,  Isac Gamez was  incredible,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. That's the most  RBI  he has posted since back in March.  LJ Borrego was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with one  home run and two  runs.
 Coming up, Quartz Hill will take on Maranatha at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Minutemen's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5  runs per game  this season, so the Royals' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Sultana does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
