After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South Central, Lanesville was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the New Washington Mustangs by a score of 53-45. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 48-44 win the Mustangs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Lanesville got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dayton Campbell out in front who posted 12 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Braydon Hodges, who went 5-for-9 on his way to 12 points and five rebounds.

Lanesville is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.5 points over those games. As for New Washington, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lanesville will head out to face off against Medora at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Medora has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for New Washington, they will venture away from home to challenge South Central at 7:30 p.m. on February 21st.
