Softball Recap: Heritage Takes a Loss

Heritage lost against Arlington back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Patriots fell 14-9 to the Lions. That's two games in a row now that the Patriots have lost by exactly five runs.

Natalia York was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two triples and two runs. Those triples marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Morgan Martens, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Heritage has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season. As for Arlington, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-5.

Heritage has already played their next match, a 9-7 loss against JW North on the 6th. As for Arlington, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-5 victory against Vista del Lago on the 6th.
