Volleyball Recap: Fountain Central Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Western, Fountain Central was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Bethesda Christian Patriots by a score of 3-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Fountain Central was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-28, 25-15, 25-14, 25-13.

Despite the defeat, Bethesda Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman Finley Allgire had 11 digs.

Fountain Central's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

Coming up, Fountain Central will face off against Delphi Community at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs are facing the Oracles at the right time seeing as the Oracles are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Bethesda Christian, they will challenge Riverside at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
