Baseball Recap: University's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Five

University waltzed into their game on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Lick-Wilmerding Tigers 13-0. The result was nothing new for the Red Devils, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Marco Parcella made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Alexander Coleman was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Quincy Nash was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

University's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Lick-Wilmerding, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

University didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Half Moon Bay on the 29th. As for Lick-Wilmerding, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 9-8 victory against San Lorenzo on the 2nd.
