James Monroe won the last time they faced Chancellor and things went their way on Thursday too. The James Monroe Yellow Jackets came out on top against the Chancellor Chargers by a score of 64-54. The win was familiar territory for the Yellow Jackets who have now won three matchups in a row.

Chancellor's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Xavier Heggie, who went 6 for 12 en route to 18 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Heggie a new career-high in points. Larell Edwards was another key player, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds.

James Monroe's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Chancellor, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
