Softball Recap: Smyrna Bulldogs vs. Wilson Central Wildcats

Smyrna can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent match on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Wilson Central Wildcats a 6-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but Smyrna sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

Adaeze Nwogbo was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. Nwogbo has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in three consecutive pitching appearances. Nwogbo was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Emma McDonald was excellent, going 1-for-3 with a triple, a run, and an RBI. Another player making a difference was Kylee Travis, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
