Veritas Academy is headed into the game having just suffered their closest defeat since December 8, 2023 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Brazos Christian by a score of 52-49. Veritas Academy hasn't had much luck with Brazos Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Dominic Clark, who posted nine points and four steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in steals. Perry Kinane was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Meanwhile, Texas School for the Deaf was able to grind out a solid win over Brazos Christian on Thursday, taking the game 47-40. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rangers.

Texas School for the Deaf's victory bumped their record up to 15-12. As for Veritas Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 12-15.

Everything went Veritas Academy's way against Texas School for the Deaf when the teams last played back in January, as Veritas Academy made off with a 58-37 win.
