Basketball Game Preview: Wilmot Wolves vs. Great Plains Lutheran Panthers

The Wilmot Wolves will head out to take on the Great Plains Lutheran Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wilmot has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

Wilmot is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Lower Brule to the tune of 80-48 on Saturday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Wolves with their most commanding win of the season.

Meanwhile, Great Plains Lutheran waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They blew past the Knights, posting a 54-8 victory. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 24 points or more this season.

Great Plains Lutheran pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 19.0 points per game. As for Wilmot, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.

Wilmot was dealt a bruising 62-32 defeat at the hands of Great Plains Lutheran when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Wilmot avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
