Softball Recap: Polytechnic Gets the Win

Polytechnic won against Viewpoint on Wednesday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. The Panthers skirted past the La Salle Lancers 8-7. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Lancers: they've now won three in a row.

Polytechnic saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amelia Shih, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs Shih has posted since back in February of 2025.

Polytechnic's record is now 2-0. As for La Salle, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Polytechnic will take on Covina at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for La Salle, they will welcome Flintridge Sacred Heart at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
