Basketball Game Preview: Judson Rockets vs. Clemens Buffaloes

The Judson Rockets will head out on the road to take on the Clemens Buffaloes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Judson's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches.

Judson is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Johnson to the tune of 81-49 on Friday. Given the Rockets' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 150th, while the Jaguars are ranked 562nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Clemens came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They had just enough and edged the Hornets out 68-66. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Buffaloes have posted since December 2, 2023.

Judson is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a massive bump to their 16-15 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.6 points over those games. As for Clemens, their win bumped their record up to 21-11.

Judson came up short against Clemens in their previous meeting back in January, falling 55-51. Can Judson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
