Aquinas came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with eight straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Arrowhead Christian Eagles as they made off with an 11-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won five contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Gavin Egan was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in February.

In other pitching news, Aquinas got a great performance from Hayden Vanderhoof as he tossed five innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits.

Back at the plate, Carter Hadnot was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Davidson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Aquinas pushed their record up to 14-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Arrowhead Christian, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 10-9.

Aquinas and Arrowhead Christian should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Falcons will square off against Woodcrest Christian at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (4 vs. 421). Meanwhile, Arrowhead Christian (ranked 108th) will meet Patriot (ranked 595th) at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
