Volleyball Game Preview: Desert Vista Thunder vs. Liberty Lions

Desert Vista is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Liberty a 12-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Wednesday. The Desert Vista Thunder will host the Liberty Lions at 5:30 p.m. Liberty took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Desert Vista, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with eight losses in a row, Desert Vista turned things around against Corona del Sol on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Aztecs by a score of 3-1.

Meanwhile, Liberty came up short against O'Connor on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Desert Vista's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 14-20. As for Liberty, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-17.

Desert Vista came out on top in a nail-biter against Liberty in their previous meeting back in March, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Thunder repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
