Baseball Recap: Mater Dei Catholic Comes Up Short

Mater Dei Catholic lost against Helix back in February of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders fell just short of the Helix Highlanders by a score of 5-3. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Noah Cook made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jean Pierre Noury, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Mater Dei Catholic now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Helix, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Mater Dei Catholic will square off against Westview at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Helix, they will challenge Scripps Ranch at 4:00 p.m. on March 17th.
