Basketball Recap: Center Point Comes Up Short

Center Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 70-19 loss at the hands of the Goldthwaite Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1345th, while the Eagles are ranked 355th).

Center Point's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Goldthwaite, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Center Point has already played their next contest (against Johnson City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Goldthwaite has already played their next matchup, a 60-36 defeat against San Saba on the 18th.
