Lincoln-Way West has gone a perfect 8-0 against Minooka recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Warriors will square off against the Indians at 4:30 p.m. Lincoln-Way West is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.8 runs per game this season.

Lincoln-Way West will head out to face Minooka after giving up their first home loss of the season on Thursday. The Warriors fell just short of Homewood-Flossmoor by a score of 4-3. The match marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Michael Pettit put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero). He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Pettit wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Carson Paulas, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, Minooka made easy work of Plainfield East on Wednesday and carried off a 12-1 win. The Indians have beaten the Bengals the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bengals has come to flipping the script.

This is the second loss in a row for Lincoln-Way West and nudges their season record down to 11-2. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for Minooka, their victory bumped their record up to 14-2.

Lincoln-Way West skirted past Minooka 4-3 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
