Baseball Recap: Lake Gibson Takes a Loss

Lake Gibson lost against McKeel Academy back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Lake Gibson took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of McKeel Academy.

Ryland Lund was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

Lake Gibson has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. The victory (which was McKeel Academy's third in a row) raised their record to 11-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Gibson will venture away from home to challenge Santa Fe Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for McKeel Academy, they will head out to take on Lake Placid at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
