Volleyball Recap: Grand Haven Buccaneers vs. Mercy Marlins
Grand Haven was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mercy Marlins. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Buccaneers of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2021.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-18.
Grand Haven's loss dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Mercy, the victory for them keeps them at an undefeated 16-0.
Grand Haven will be playing in front of their home fans against East Kentwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. East Kentwood is coming into the matchup with three straight defeats on the road, meaning Grand Haven will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win. As for Mercy, they will venture away from home to take on St. Ursula Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
